Car description

1970 Plymouth Duster 318 automatic, power steering, manual drum brakes. Sandpebble Beige w/ black/beige interior. The car runs and drives great and has been my daily driver for the last month or so. Its in pretty good shape for a 50 year old car. All original paint and glass. Everything works as it should, lights, turn signals, wipers, gauges, speedo, dome light, dash lights, fuel gauge, etc.The most severe rust is in the driver side quarter panel. The trunk pan has surface rust. Floor pans are solid with some surface rust. The fenders have small rust spots but the rocker panels, doors and everything else is solid. The roof doesn't have a single dent in it, but the rest of the car has scratches, dents and ding from normal use over the years. I bought the car to have a project to work on but my plans have changed. The 318 engine is a 1990 model dodge truck engine with a roller camshaft and fitted with an aluminum edelbrock performer intake manifold with a carter AFB carburetor w/ electric choke and has been converted to electronic ignition. I was told the engine was "gone through" 6 years ago and not driven much afterwords but I have no proof of that beside it is completely spotless under the valve covers and it doesn't smoke at all. I performed a compression test on it when I purchased it and came out 170 psi across the board. The 904 3 speed automatic is the original to the car and was disassembled and cleaned during the engine change. The factory 7 1/4 rear end has been replaced with a 8 3/4 rear end with a 3.23 open diff. The car has new front brake shoes, brake hoses, and KYB gas-adjust shocks. 14" wheels with 225/70/14 BFgoodrich T/A radial tires. The heater core has been flushed out and fresh coolant added. The Carter AFB carburetor was cleaned, floats adjusted and serviced.I have a new quarter panel patch panels and new in the box door panels, firewall gasket set and taillight gaskets from classtic industries that will be included with the car.The carpet is original but is pretty toast, as well as the dash pad, rear seat, headliner, and trunk mat. The build sheet is perfectly intact behind the rear seat springs (I have pictures of it but I left it in place.) The rear seat has had better days and is covered with a bench seat cover. The front seats are not original and are out of a Jeep Cherokee. The original steering wheel will be on the car and isn't pictured but is in really good shape for its age. I have the original 318 engine minus the intake and carburetor that will be included. It been sitting in a storage building covered up but will need to be rebuilt since its burned oil really badly. The fender tag is intact and present.
Clean Montana title in hand.
The car still needs some work but is a really solid starting point and I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere.. It starts, runs, drives and stops great and Ive made 2 10 hour road trips in it without issue and averaged 19mpgs @ 70 mph.If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Pickup preferred but I can deliver for a fee.The car is located in Belgrade Montana. Sold as is and thanks for looking.
