Car description |
---|
Presented for auction is a factory original 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner 440 Six Pack (Plymouth calls it Six-BBL) one of only about 150 V-Code Six Pack automatic roadrunners produced in 1971. Pretty rare by any measure. The car is also repainted in the original High Impact Plumb Crazy Purple color and is equipped with ultra rare power windows, air grabber hood, power steering, power disc brakes, AM/FM radio (not working), 727 heavy duty automatic transmission, 3.55 sure grip (posi) rear, rallye wheels, bucket seats, rallye cluster, center console and more.
The dash VIN tag, fender tag, door VIN decal, radiator core support and cowl numbers all match. The engine is date coded correct but is non-matching numbers and I don't have a build sheet. The paint is older and in very good condition with a few blemishes here and there. I would call it a very nice driver quality paint job. There are two areas on the lower passenger side where bubbles are starting but the rest of the body, trunk and frame is clean and solid. The air grabber hood and spoilers were added by a previous owner, but the hood is an original Air Grabber and NOT and reproduction.
The car starts right up and drives great, trans shifts nicely and power disc brakes work as they should. The 3 Holley carburetors rumble to life when you hit the accelerator and the power plants you back into the seat. You can pay $90K for a V-Code Roadrunner trailer queen or own this great driver for a fraction of the price. This is a NO RESERVE auction so bid to own.
Car is being sold in "as-is" condition. A $1000 non refundable deposit is due immediately after the auction has concluded. Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
