1934 Plymouth PE Coupe
This nicely restored 1934 Plymouth PE Coupe has been brought back to it's glorious look. Multiple photos posted to show this wonderful car from many angles, with and without flash. Interior, exterior, engine and undercarriage. These photos will hopefully answer many of your questions. The car has the original 201 CID inline 6 engine and manual 3 speed transmission. The car has had the interior done in as close to factory look with "Mohair" tan cloth. The door panels, interior top, and headliner all done professionally with the same material.
The floor of this great car has the Factory lookalike rubber floor mat and the woodgrain look on the dash and door panels that looks very nice as shown. Has the ivory style shift handle, chrome emergency brake handle, and original Plymouth instrument cluster/gauges and glove box badge. The steering wheel is original and looks very nice but does have a few hairline type cracks in it but shows nicely. This car has the crank open front windshield for additional air flow, and the wonderful drivers side split roll down vent window which is a very nice and rare item to have.
This car has a Optima 6 volt battery that cranks it over with torque and of course this car is still a 6 volt system with the starter pedal on the floor. Manual choke a little, and this cars starts right up. After she's warm, it starts right up over and over. Original Vin plate on firewall as shown. Wood cab framing and supports were re-done when it went through restoration. It is an older restoration but still looks nice. There are however the usual scuffs/scrapes from storage rash. With the gold pin stripes going down the side and on the Artillery steel wheels pin striped also, this car is truly stunning. The engine cowl vents look and work very nice and work great to keep her cool on a warm day. The car has been used in local parades and such and moves right down the road with a tall 2nd and 3rd gear. Never overheated on us once.As with any older car there is a seep of oil here and there but nothing drastic. Just doing the best to describe the car.
Chrome front and rear bumpers, incredible chrome grill with Plymouth badge and Mayflower Hood Ornament as shown. Chrome trim looks very nice and the car has the hard cased spare tire cover on rear (continental kit style) with badge. The tires are wide white wall and the spare is in the rubber lined trunk that is truly cavernous to hold all your car show chairs and coolers. These Plymouth's were of the first few cars to have hydraulic brakes and they do make a big difference. The car is all steel and has not been driven in any moist environments. The car is and has been in an extremely dry climate stored inside in a climate controlled environment, A/C and Heat.
Too many cars and need to move a couple to make room for downsizing. These Plymouth PE Coupes are of the "5 window" style, and look to be as they call it "chopped" from the factory. They are very popular to hot rod out. We have held on to this one for years to try to protect it. But once she's gone, it is up to the new owner as to what they want to do with it. They only are original once and this one has been kept to look as original as possible. Hope someone appreciates these as much as we do. This one is not premium show quality as it sits now, but with a little work, it could be. Could win show and shines, or Saturday shows right now!
Of course the car has to be sold "as is" with no warranty. Assistance with getting the car on board with your shipper. No trades. Immediate deposit of $500 after agreed upon deal, pick up within 20 days after final wire payment.
Thanks for looking at this fine Plymouth, Maker her yours!!!
