Car description

This is a very solid almost excellent condition 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury old original super stock drag race car. The car was set up for period correct super stock racing many many years ago with all the correct racing requirements. It has been in dry storage for over 20 years and is in the original condition with no changes, except for the replacement of the carburetor, shift cable, battery and battery cables everything else is in as found condition. The engine is a high compression Direct Connection 440 with 278915 iron heads, Engal HE3844BL Mopar three bolt hyd. cam, Crane roller rocker arms, Holley 850 carburetor, Edelbrock Torker II-440 intake, Moroso water pump. The transmission is a TCI 727 set up for racing with a straight Hurst shifter. The rear is a 8 3/4 with 488 spool with Moser axles and drum brakes. It has the original Hoosier 30.0/9.0X15 tires on the rear and the original Moroso 7.10X15 on the front.MSD 8546 distributor a multable spark discharge and a pro billet box and coil. Fuel cell is in excellent condition it has an-8 braided stainless fuel lines front to back, new battery, new battery cables, and a 8-point roll cage. The last time the car was raced it ran in the low 11's in the quarter I have ran the engine and drove the car, it does run and drive and stops good but will probably need a good engine tuning. It has long tube hooker headers with 3" exhaust with H pipe flow master mufflers( the car could be converted to the street very easy). The body is in excellent condition with no rust or dents the chrome/stainless is also in good original condition the trunk lid is missing the lock assembly and the car still has the original paint. Someone other than me sprayed some grey primer on some areas on the car for reasons I do not know. The car has a good clean title. I not really interested in trades but I may consider a partial trade for the right vehicle. Please look at the pictures and ask questions the car will be sold as is, I know I have probably left out some important details so please feel free to contact me 863 TWO TWO 4 THREE 6 NINE SIX.Payment requirements are $1000.00 at auction end and the rest in cash when the car is picked up. The buyer is responsible for pick up or arrangements made for shipping I will assist in loading. Thanks for looking and please view my other listings.
