Schroeder Motors is very proud to offer this stunning 1936 Plymouth DeLuxe Sedan for Sale.
Let me start off by saying this is a gorgeous kissing door '36.
The Royal Blue paint used for it's restoration is just beautiful....now add in the Cream Interior and it's easy to see the owner had wonderful taste in designing this Plymouth.
The Exterior Condition.
The '36 is a Super High Driver Quality that offers deep shine, depth and clarity on all painted surfaces and shows clean & clear reflections. All panels are tight and have excellent fitment.
All of the glass is clear, clean and crack free. All windows open and close with ease.
The Chrome & Brightwork is very nice to excellent and matches the paint quality nicely.
The Emblems & Oraments are all present and are in very nice shape as well.
The '36 stands square on the road. The wheels are painted to a matching high gloss likethe bodyand have Cream hand painted twin pin stripeon the lip of the wheel....a nice touch to compliment the cream interior.
This is the way we received the car,...it has not been detailed yet...so things will only get prettier and more sparkling by the end of the day.
It's obvious to see that the last owner loved the car as it has been garage kept and cared for to this high level of condition.
This is not a perfect car,...but instead a low 90's score on the 100 point scale allowing for very minor imperfections that do not detract from the overwhelmingappeal this car has to any and all that see & drive it.
The Interior Condition.
Same quality level in here too. The seating areas & surfaces are clean, elegant and very comfortable. The Laced Cord Pipe seams are tight and look terrific.
The headliner is perfectly clean and tight as are the door panels and rear passenger panels.
The rear ashtrays, knobs and pulls still have their Art Deco Design made out of what looks like Marble.Either way,...a nice touch along with the rear seat rope give this sedan an elegant space for all passengers.
The rugs are soft and clean to round out a very nice place to be....your family & friends will be proud to be seen in it.
The Ride & Drive.
Wonderfully tuned L block inline 6. The engine is quiet, smooth and runs cool. This car was driven almost 100 miles to us on a hot summer day without so much of a hint of mechanical weakness. I'd drive this car anywhere at any time.
The steering is tight,..the brakes superb and the handling is impressive. In some ways,...I like these Pre-War Cars to drive more than the '50's or '60's cars,...they just feel tighter to me, a better road feel Iguess,...this car is no exception.
The floor shift 3 speed glides in and out of gear with ease,...the clutch is very healthy as well.
All of the gauges seem to be right on,...so of course they work. (The cream face of the Gauge Cluster Round is beautiful too.)
In Closing.
As you know,...these Kissing Door Plymouths' are doing very well in the market...."They're Back" as they say. You simply could not begin to restore this car for what we're selling it for.
The last time this car was for sale was at the Sotheby's Classic Car Auction for over 25 thousand plus the 8% Buyers Fee,...we're well under that price which we feel is fair for a car of this mechanical and cosmetic condition.
Included are some Point of Purchase materials that will be fun to have at Car Shows,...Including the Sotheby's Framed Catalogue Offering Press Sheet.
Schroeder's has been selling Corvettes & Classics Since 1968. We're located 1 mile south of I-70 on Hwy 94 in St. Charles, Missouri. If you're flying in...we're 10 minutes from the St. Louis International Airport.
