Car description |
---|
For sale is a beautiful 1979 Peugeot 504, with an immaculate interior and all factory options for the year including power steering and air conditioning. The car spent its entire life until December 2017 in the Sacramento, California, area, and shows absolutely no rust. The original California blue plates are included with the sale. The original driveline included the Peugeot XD2 2.3 liter diesel engine and 3-speed automatic transmission.
The car's only cosmetic blemish is minor denting to the passenger side doors, as seen in the pictures. The car was donated after the death of the original owner, and lifting by forklift caused these dents.
The downside: this is a project car. The engine has seized, and will require rebuilding or replacement.
The car is currently located in Albuquerque, New Mexico in the care of a professional mechanic. The seller and this mechanic had intended to install a high-performance Peugeot turbodiesel engine and manual transmission in the car, but other projects and commitments made this impossible. For those acquainted with the robustness and relative simplicity of Peugeot's basic driveline designs, transplants such as these are not difficult.
The seller is located in Iowa, and holds a clear Iowa title to the car.
The buyer will need to have the car shipped within 7 days of the sale from Albuquerque, NM.
