Car description |
---|
It took two years to track down this beautiful car. It took two weeks to convince the owner to sell it.
I improved the car although it didn't need much and I have driven it weekly with no problems. With my ancient age it is time to thin the herd.
It is shiny as new, but my pics were taken in bright sunlight and it looks a little dull. Actually it shines. No blemishes.
The interior has been renewed and is as good as it looks. The art-deco dash is flawless.
For me frequently driven assures reliability. I've replaced the (6 volt) battery and had the shifter rebuilt. Before me the car was professionally restored in the mid 2000s. That work is documented as is the provenance which accompanies the car.
For their rarity and favored design Coupes sell for quite a bit more than four door sedans of the same year. Still I would not say these 1948-50 Packards are "classics". They are the best car one could buy at the time and their quality endures today. This car runs smoothly and quietly and its good looks get everyone's attention.
To learn more call me and I will tell you what I paid for the car. Since this is a no reserve auction my loss may be your gain. Dave Pyle 713 703 1207.
I drove the Yellow Bird today and it performed brilliantly. Come get it. Now has a full tank.
