Up for auction is a nice 1937 Packard 115C Sport Coupe. I am not the owner of this car (selling for a friend) but I have had a chance to ride in it. I was very impressed with how nice it rides, traight it drives, nd how tight it is. I was also impressed with how the engine ran. It was very smooth and quiet; just a really fun car to cruise around town in. All of the gauges work as well and the interior is in good condition. The seats are very comfortable. Of note, fter driving a while (on a very hot day) the engine ran hot. This took some time to occur so my guess is the radiator will need to be serviced. Also, he restoration was done by a previous owner (not sure how long ago) and the bodywork would not be considered show quality. Certainly the car could be shown but there are quite a few imperfections with the paint and body.So in summary, his Packard isn't a trailer queen. It's more of a driver's restoration so you don't have to stress over taking it out for fear of a rock chip. But I also think it would be a great candidate for someone who has the skills to redo the paint and body. It doesn't seem to need anything mechanical other than the radiator service. Please email me with any questions you may have and I will try my best to answer them.
