1968 SWM Gordini Sports / Race Car (1 of 1)
German Design / French Racing Power
Stefan and Wenzel Mannl were brothers who create a small race car / coachbuilding company called "SWM" (Stefan, Wenzel, Mannl) in the early to mid 1960s. Of the 7 cars they built and raced, only one verified sports car exists today - our 1968 SWM Gordini. You can read additional detail about this specific car in the 2017 article in Vintage Racecar Journal posted here.
The Gordini had been brought over by a G.I. / Military in the late 1960s and then stored inside for over 50 years. When we acquired the car, it did not have its correct 1300 Gordini engine and 5 speed gearbox. As seen in the photos below, these items have been acquired and are part of the sale.
The car is currently in restoration with the proper drivetrain being fitted. The new owner can purchase the car "as is" or continue with the restoration at it's current location in Venice, Florida.
