Up for auction my 1937 Lasalle series 50 opera coupe survivor. You'll be hard pressed to find another 30s coupe in this condition for an unrestored car. Ive been told by other collectors that have see it its like a time capsule. It's fun to drive and gets a lot of attention. It runs at 65 on the highway with no problems. Any stock part I've changed which are few I have in a box. It is almost all original. I found it in a storage building where it had sat since the early 60s. I have had all these items professionally replaced; All brake lines, brake master cylinder, and wheel cylinders, all fuel lines, fuel pump polished and rebuilt, water pump repainted and rebuilt, new radiator hoses, new radiator, New plugs wires cap rotor points condenser, ignition coil, fan and water pump belts, intake and exhaust gaskets, carburetor, battery (6v optima) in a case that looks like an old 6 v battery, cleaned out gas tank and rebuilt fuel sender, new carpet and reupholstered seat, new firestone 6.00 16 wide white wall tires and tubes New fluids in the transmission and rear end, as well as new u joints. Motor runs well and transmission shifts very smooth and well. Run drives and stops. Ive had up to 65 on the highway and it rides great. IT has an inline 6 v fuel pump for priming and a backup up. All lights work tail lights headlights and dash lights. All gauges function as well. I has vintage 1.5 inch lowering blocks on the rear and fox craft fender skirts. The hubcaps are vintage Namsco flippers. I also have the original if you prefer. I replaced the original muffler with a porter its got a nice tone but its very mellow. It also has the original spare in the trunk. Car is for sale locally and i reserve the right too end the auction early if a local sale takes place.
