Car description

This is a fantastic car. pretty much appearing as new. I bought the car recently from the second owner who had recently bought the car from his friend. the first owner. He had the car professionally built by Retro Motorsports. I didn't get the full story but I was told the car was a long time getting completed and was then held up in some legal proceedings for some more time. That is past and this car is now ready to be used and enjoyed. It is gorgeous. Whoever prepped and painted this car was very good. Body panels are straight and smooth. paint is also smooth and shiny. No orange peel. it is very well done. I'm not super familiar with the options Factory Five offered so please defer to the pictures to answer what questions they can. This car was built with new components. nbsp;NOT used parts from a donor car. New "krate" Ford 5 liter Cobra FI engine. 5 speed Borg Warner transmission. I don't have details on the clutch or rear end. Auto Meter electrical gauges. Simpson belts. Leather seats and a nice repro Cobra steering wheel. Repro Halibrand wheels (NICE) with BF Goodrich g Force TA tires. Aluminum radiator. No power frills. just power! Ask anyone familiar with Factory Five cars. their build and design quality is revered. There is a reason these cars are so well respected. This car runs and drives fantastic. Solid no rattle suspension and body. Fantastic sound from those side pipes and man this thing really flies! With the 5 speed transmission it's a real back road burner but still a nice highway cruiser. Stops straight and true. clutch is smooth and engages nicely. Nice shifter. It just all adds up to a superlative drive. So much fun! I'm sure you've heard "when it rains it pours" or "things happen in three". Well it seems that way for me. This is the third car I've gotten lately that suddenly developed an electrical issue. When I got it the tach was not functional. it is hanging out at just above 7000rpm. Now the speedometer just quit. It's just four wires. can't be too hard to figure out. I think most likely the sender has failed. Both gauges still have power. The tach has me wondering though. The wire harness is well labeled. just haven't been able to tear into it. At any rate everything else works fine. I have a partner on this car and I am now compelled to sell it. I'd like to keep it awhile. at least through spring because now with the winter salt on the roads I have it parked. I barely got to drive it. Oh well. I doubt you could build this car for less than my reserve. and likely not as nicely finished. This car is gorgeous. and does appear pretty much as new. It does not disappoint. I have a good. clear Ohio title. Feel free to call me. Doug 937 231 0193. Thanks for looking.
