1963 FORD COUNTRY SQUIRE
NO RESERVE
Thanks for checking this amazing 1963 Galaxie Country Squire. These are very rare cars that you do not see that often. This is an original Country Squire, ode 76 in VIN and 71E on data tag. I grew up with these cars when I was young, ven ending up with a Squire Ranchero, t the time I did not like the wood paneling, ut today these tin woodys are all the rage. This car was bought new here in Oregon. In 1967 it was traded in at a local dealer, nd a young couple bought it for their growing family, hey had 3 boys that all learned how to drive in this beloved Country Squire, met to of the sons and it was fun to hear their stories of their time with this wagon. Ever once in a while their dad would let them take it out on a date, 'm sure it was a hit with new girlfriends father especially when they pulled up in the driveway, suppose it was better than a van pulling up, ol. This Country Squire has been in the same ownership for almost 50 years. The first time I ever saw the car was 13 years ago, nd I was at a shop here in Salem, had just started by classic car business, nd I wanted to own this car the first time I saw it. I have seen the car off and on over the years, nd just recently I was able to park it in my own garage. I love old cars, ive and breathe them, or me it is all about the hunt and the chase, 'm like a fisherman, hat catches that big fish, nd pretty much do a catch and release program. Anyways this car has been a part of the community here in Salem since it was new, t will be interesting to see where it goes for the next 50 years. This is an amazing car, n really nice condition, hey cared for this car like a family member. It has lived a pampered life, araged most of its life, show a picture of the car and the gentleman that it was its care taker, n the background is the garaged that it lived in for 50 years. They bought the house new in 1962, nd in 1967 bought the Country Squire, t is amazing it has been on the same property for the last 50 years. Anyways I took a lot of photos please take a look at them all, t is in great shape. About 15 years ago he and his sons gave it a nice make over, esprayed for the first time, ebuilt the drive train, nd the interior. Since then they said it possibly but 5000 miles on in the last 15 years. The odometer reads 72,637 on it, ssume it has rolled over at least once, do not have any written documentation of miles, ut looking at everything, specially the integrity of the car, t has been well cared for. The body is in great shape, he paint has a nice gloss to it, ot an over the top respray, ut looks nice, nder lights you might see a few imperfections, ut honestly most people wouldn't even take notice, ot perfect but a very nice looking car. It is very straight down the sides, as minor chips that have been touched up, t has been driven and has some minor wear. All the panels line up nice, oors shut like new. The glass is in good shape no chips of cracks, ou can see that the glass is older has small scratches on them in various areas, ypical of older original glass in a car that has been used. I have not seen any signs of any major rust repairs on the car, verything looks very good, he doors, ockers, uarter panels all look very good, nbsp;there is some filler on the lower quarters from what I can tell but pretty minor. The roof gutters are really clean no bubbles in great condition. It does not have any dents or dings on it very clean. Take a look at the photos the car is very sound, ot a rotisserie restoration, ust a very nice restored older restoration. The wood paneling has all been refinished, nd looks great some minor stress cracks on some of the paneling but overall looks awesome. The amazing part is underneath of the car, eautiful original frame, ntouched floors, nd rockers, o undercoating, his really is the true story of any cars condition, hat it looks like underneath, tructurally sound, n the door jams same away, ery clean, o signs of any accidents or major repairs, lean inner aprons upfront. We do not salt the roads here in Oregon, ave cool summers and mild winters which really saves a lot of our cars. The chrome and bright work are in decent shape but are original and worn, ou may want to during the winter months remove some of the trim around windows and such and have them polished. The rear and front bumper could stand to be rechromed. The rear bumper has some flaking, here is a Surf Sticker on the passenger side rear were the chrome has failed, o basically the sticker is there to cover it, ooks better with a sticker, elieve me. Overall all it is a very nice driver and easy to do upgrades little by little like they did to the car for 50 year The interior is in great shape basically all redone. He had it redone in material, hey rode around in the cold vinyl all of its life, nd they said no more and did it in very nice material, ncluding the door panels. I have to admit it is very comfortable the seats feel great, specially in the winter, ice to hop in an old car without freezing seats, nd likewise the boiling vinyl seats in the summer. There really is very little wear on the seats and door panels they are in great shape. The original dash pad is in good shape but has a small crack in the center but overall it is original and looms nice overall, would never change the dash pad, ecause it does look nice. It has been upgraded with a AM/FM CD, nd speakers. The headliner is original, ack then they used cardboard inserts, nd they usually start to warp a little, o they wanted to keep them, nd trimmed them out with matching wood, hich really is a nice touch looks great seeing the wood strips, ooks nice. The glass in all the doors roll up and down nicely, he electric rear window works off switch or key. The vent Windows crank out and in good, ut there is a little air seepage around the quarter Windows. The gaskets on the car and door rubbers all look in good shape, he car does not leak inside. The carpet is in great shape as well. The heater, ipers, auges all work good, t does have external oil pressure and temp gauges under the dash that hang down below lower dash, removed them to clean them, nd they are now reinstalled, ot pictured. Anyways take a look at interior and you will get a good idea of how clean it is. Mechanically it is in great shape. The motor and transmission were rebuilt around 15 years ago but only have about 5k on the them from what they said, added a picture of the rocker cover off so you could get a good look at the top end of engine. The intake reads C3AE, nd heads read C1AE, ngine is a 352, believe it is original to the car. The exterior of the motor has been freshened up with new paint, new valve cover gaskets, ooks nice and stock underneath the hood, ust has been cared for and detailed nice to look new again. They added an additional snorkel on the air cleaner, ave to admit, like it. It starts right up and runs very nice, t can at times be a little cold blooded, t is running electric Petronix ignition, hich is a nice add. Still running its stock 2v carb, nd intake. It is a 352 V8 X code car. The Cruis-O-Matic transmission isin good shape shift nice and seems to work great. It had new rear axles put in a few years ago as well. It has power steering which works good, e a little dampness around the steering ram it might need to be resealed, r new hoses eventually, have seen a few small drips off of the ram, ut need to take a little closer at it, f I can get around to fixing it I will try to, ut no promises, f not it will drip a little occasionally. Otherwise the engine and transmission no signs of any leaks currently. It has power brakes which work very good on a car of this size. It has been upgraded with dual exhaust as well which is a nice add for a big block car. The tires are in great condition with around 90% tread on them, riginal hubcaps still in the car. All the exterior lights work, ven the backup lights. The oil pan as you will see in the photos, ooks ugly, t is functions good, ut it got dented in the bottom, nd when they rebuilt it, hey backed it back out, t worked, ot pretty, ut who looks under car anyways, only noticed it when I put it on my lift. Not to hard to put a new pan on it down the road if you wanted to. Mechanically the car is in great shape, ery smooth driving car, he big cars usually float down the road, till drives like an old car, ut overall pretty impressive for being over 55 years old.

Thanks, ason 503-910-2085 Nicest gentleman you would ever meet, as been the care taker of this beautiful car for almost 50 years, ntil he handed me keys. This car has always lived in Salem, nd been in that garage in the back ground, ice history and story of such a unique and good looking Country Squire. Back in 1963, his would have been the plate that a local Ford dealer would have used here in Oregon, ound it fitting to show it with the first set of plates that would have been on it when new. These do not come with the car, ront nor back, ust for show out of my collection. It comes with Oregon plates, ly in and drive it home. Back up lights work, ove the style of these Rocket Booster tail ights, hich we had design work like this till. 1963 Galaxies are probably my favorite big body Fords every built. Strap on a vintage wooden rack, oad it up with camping gear, urfboards, now shoes luggage, ven a Christmas Tree, nd yes, et yourself a Vintage Camp Trailer, nd Pull Vintage with Vintage. The Surf Shop Sticker is only there to cover some pealing chrome, ot trying to cover up anything, ould you rather look at peeling chrome, r a cool sticker, voted sticker, ntil the bumper gets re-chromed one day. This is a real COUNTRY SQUIRE, ot a clone, ODY 71E - COUNTRY SQUIRE 6 passenger, nd in the VIN 76- COUNTRY SQUIRE. They bought it from Carriage Motors here in Salem, e paid a whopping $50 a month, nd they paid if off quick to save interest. He said he bought his house in 1962 for $50 a month, nd thought this is crazy to make the same payment on a car!!! Pretty much the same story today in 2015! Had it appraised in 2007, or $22,000. The wagon market has sky rocketed since then, here are lots of wagon groups on Facebook, nstagram etc.. Love going to car shows, nd seeing people pull old Vintage Airstreams with these cars, o one back in the day used trucks, hey used the family station wagon. Nice options, otice Power Brakes and Power Steering. Put new gaskets on valve covers, nd noticed how clean the rocker assemblies were, o took a photo. Oil pan is not pretty, t got dented in a long time ago, nd someone beat it back out, oing to be honest, hy didn't they just get a new one back in the day. Answer, don't know, t works, nd who is going to crawl under the car and say anything anyways. This is when vintage cars gets exciting for me, ove to look at the floors and structure, f they look good, hen you know you have a great car. No undercoating, o repairs to the floors, rame looks great. Solid Rockers, oth sides. All the mounts look great no rust issues.
