You are bidding on a rare barn find 1973 Opel GT. It was originally purchased in California in September of 1973. I was able to purchase the car from the original owner in February. 2014. The car comes with excellent documentation back to the original sale. This GT is as close to factory as I have ever seen. Overall the car is in very good condition and turns heads when your on the road. The paint is good and shinny for a repaint with some areas of rust bubbling up from under the paint and there are two dents that need work. Mechanically it’s in good shape with a strong engine and drive train. there is however a diff. whine. Gas cap does not have a key. Interior is ok with good carpets and solid floor pans. There is a dash mat covering the normal dash cracks. Horn and clock are inop. . Radio ?? I have not pulled the dash as the original snap bolts are still in place. The car will come with the following:New Weber 32/36 DGEV carb. air filter and gaskets. New seat covers by OGTS. 73 dash ( with defroster light ) in Very good condition. New rear brake drums. shoes and wheel cylinders. New front and rear window rubber. Set of original manuals. They will be shipped with the GT or separately at buyers expenseThis is an outstanding project base. I just don’t have the time to do it justice. Please ask your questions before you bid.
