Up for auction is a pretty rare car. A true 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 convertible. A true 442. 34467 car. Was originally a New York car but spent over 90% of its life in Colorado and Utah. Highly documented with original dealer folder, owners manual, protection plan, build sheet, protect-o-plate, and clear title. All numbers matching drivetrain. 400 engine with original 251 4 bbl carb, exhaust manifolds, distributor, ect. Bone stock original engine, its all there from carb to pan. Original TH400 OG code transmission, and original 12 bolt 3:23 posi rearend. Has original boxed lower control arms. Has rally pack tach and guages that need to be restored. Power steering and power brakes. Beginning from the front to the back of the car, has both front and correct original rear bumper with dual exhaust cutouts. rear decklid will need minor work on the under seam. rear panel is in very good condition. Trunk pan will need some rust repair or replacement, depends on your assessment. Rear quarters can be repaired, but I would replace them, probably an easier task. Convertible top power motor is functional, but will need new plastic lines as the hydraulic lines are brittle due to age. Convertible top mechanism, is in good shape and functions fine. Front header bow will need some rust repair. Doors are in good shape, may need minor work but no major repair at all. Front fenders are rust free nice parts. Floor pans will need patches. The floor is very clean and strong, just has several holes where water must have sat and rusted holes. Not scaly floors. Frame is great! very minor surface rust if any. very clean. rockers are great, nothing needed there. Front bucket seats will need recovering due to age as will the back seat. Hood is beautiful, no rust at all. Worst part is on the front cowl where the windshield meets the cowl, where they all rust. Will need a panel welded there. Car is a rare convertible with A/C, and all components are there, down to the lines with the original muffler. Engine and trans are out og the car. Car is mostly disassembled for restoration. Have all parts to put the car back together. All bolts are labelled. Car was to be done right. Selling because we need the money for home repairs due to recent flooding.
