Car description |
---|
This car has been re-painted several years ago, and they muffed the prep work. Sorry folks, but it's a 5 footer with regards to paint. They did a great job with the paint, but failed to treat for rust. It's starting to bubble up in places and will have to be stripped at some point. Other than that, the body is in extremely straight condition, and the top looks fairly new.
A death forces the sale of this car, after being stored in a garage for the last several years. The 394 ci high compression engine has been rebuilt but not run for years. The Hydra-Matic Auto transmission has also been rebuilt. We've recently gone over the brakes and they all work just fine. The convertible top has been replaced and with some additional cleaning, will be just fine for years to come.
With all our cars, we inspect and take pictures as if we were buying them ourselves. The undercarriage, rocker panels, and sill plates are in excellent shape with no significant rust, just some surface rust.
The windows are electric, and so is the antenna, and the soft top. The shaved door handles indicate "door poppers" were to be installed, but the owner didn't get to them before he died. Buy the car and finish the door poppers or ask us for a bid to finish it.
