Car description |
---|
Relatively solid and unmodified '66 442 FAIR condition DRIVER. "Numbers matching." Specifically, this car has a solid frame, and floor boards. As the pictures show, the lower body panels have some rust/bubbling and the trunk floor has a patch.I have owned the car for about 5 years. I found old registrations for the car in the glove compartment from North Carolina and there is a parking sticker on the windshield from a college in North Carolina.Previous owners have reupholstered the seats and dash pad. The headliner and carpet have been replaced. I do not know when these things were done. They are all in good condition. The door panels appear to be original. They are discolored and the vinyl armrests have cracks.Power brakes have been added along with an engine instrument cluster below the dash. The car does NOT have power steering. The car was also repainted a number of years ago and the rear bumper re-chromed.
I believe that the engine was rebuilt but I have no documentation to confirm. It runs strong and there is no valve noise to indicate wear nor any `pinging` with unleaded fuel. The correct Rochester Quadrajet for a `66 442 has been rebuilt. The rear wheel bearings were replaced in July '17 and the front wheel bearings NEED replaced before it can be driven a long distance. The turn signal switch is broke and the fuel gauge always indicates half-full. :)
The odometer reads 19515 miles. I assume its 119515 miles. The mileage is EXEMPT on the title.I consider this '66 442 to be #4(FAIR) based on Hagerty's Car Valuation description which is available to read on the Hagerty website.
