Car description |
---|
1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme- Brougham model. This is my car Lucy. She's black (original color) with silver pinstriping and chrome trim. She has a black and pinstriped interior. Under the hood is a rebuilt Olds 307 (V8) with a turbo 350 trans that was rebuilt when I replaced the engine. There are only 63,346 miles on the rebuilt motor. The valve covers were replaced with chrome valve covers and I installed an Edelbrock air cleaner on the carb. I still have the original parts, if you prefer those. She had a new exhaust and muffler installed a few years ago and she's got a catalytic converter with a 4 barrel carb. The battery was replaced a few years ago as well as the brakes and pads. The car originally had a black soft landau top. She was repainted around 2008 and I decided it looked better with the top off. Lucy has been my daily driver for over 20 years. (She always passed inspection!) I've never been in an accident with this car and according to my mechanic, she looks like she's never been in an accident. She runs well and enjoys trips to the car wash- she definitely prefers summer to winter. I've had the oil changed every 3000 miles on this car. I had the trans fluid and rear deferential fluid and the antifreeze flushed and changed. I used an engine cleaner cat converter cleaner once a year and I've always been a fan of the Lucas Oil products. If there was any maintenance to be done, it was performed in a timely manner. The last tune up (plugs, cap, wires, etc.) was performed in summer 2017.
This car has a clean title. Headliner and carpets in good condition- headliner is not drooping into center of car.. just a few spots with a little "airpocket" where the headliner isn't flush, but the material is in great shape and it's hanging up there really nicely. Has all original seats, dashboard in good shape- had some damage but was repaired and resprayed. There's been a custom dashboard cover (removable) protecting it for the last few years. Passenger side seat had some tears in fabric, but seats have had seat covers on them for protection. Original seat belts, new Pioneer stereo/CD player with remote was installed about 10 years ago. Has 2 Sun gauges installed for Oil and Temp, additional toggle switch installed for heat and air. All gauges (speedometer, gas gauge) are working. Car has power windows, manual seats. Car has original rims and there is an extra tire on an extra rim in the trunk. Trunk is great shape- black carpet on interior. Has original jack and crowbar. Included with this car is the original manual and build sheet from plant (discovered when headliner was replaced years ago) as well as the original dealer mechanic service manual with all of the schematics and repair info. Included in this sale are all the extra parts I have including light bezels, original air cleaner cover, original valve covers, the air conditioning parts, steering wheel and column as well as all of the tools that I've collected- so you know you'll have the right size whatever. I'm also providing you with the service records, so if you have a question about when something was done, you'll know when and what. Car has some rust beginning on the bottom of the doors on the chrome bumpers, wells, etc. Unfortunately, I don't have a garage and I don't want to see this car fall apart.
Please see the video for more information, or send me a message with any questions. This car is being sold as is. I'm really hoping to find her a good Oldsmobile loving home where someone can put her in a garage and take care of her.As far as I can tell, this seems to be the only Olds Cutlass for sale within 200 miles of central NJ.
The buyer can pick her up with a trailer or if you're in another state and would like to arrange for a freight company to pick the car up, I would be okay with that.
