Up for auction is a very well preserved 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham T-top coupe. Having resided in the Pacific Northwest all it's life, this is a rust free car still carrying it's original burgundy paint. It's had one long term female owner most of it's life and has said to have always been garaged.
The red leather Brougham interior is in amazing condition for it's age. Still shows amazingly well but does have one repairable tare on the drivers bottom and the car does need a new headliner. The original is sagging as most do.
This is a rock solid car with a clean and rust free undercarriage. No major dents or previous body work is evident. The paint is original and it's shows. Many nicks and scratches. especially on the front header. I believe this car deserves to be treated to a fresh coat of paint. Leaving the original as cool as it is, it deserves more. I would say the paint is a stereotype 20 footer.
Mechanically the car needs NOTHING. Originally fitted with a 307 V8 the original owner opted for an upgrade somewhere in the early 90's to a 350 V8. Her local GM dealer fitted this car with a Goodwrench 350 long block [see pic]. That engine is said to have just around 20,000 miles on it. The car was put in dry storage about 20 years ago and recently revived. Completely tuned, fluids changed and carb rebuilt. This car absolutely runs amazing. Drives down the road straight and smooth. Again, no mechanical work needed as I type this.
Another amazing thing about this car is how well equipped it is. This was the top of the line Brougham. Plus with the added options, most of all the T-tops, this car had to be as much as a Delta 88 in the showroom. I'm thinking this was a special order car for someone. The dealer himself or to be displayed as a showroom attraction. The factory equipment is as follows...

Currently, Ebay is only allowing me to upload 12 photos but I will do my best to add more to the listing. I have several more. I can also send them to those seriously interested. PLEASE only bid if you are serious and check with the partner in the house first, I don't want to cause any break-up and be out the bidders money and listing fees. I'm an honest guy and will answer all questions to the best of my knowledge. I purchased this car to keep as a part of my personal collection but I've realized I just don't have the room. Be aware that although, it's rare to find a G Body with T-tops, this loaded and this unmolested and original, it's still a 40 year old car so it's far from perfect. I just don't think it would be tough to make it perfect but it's got to be the right person. If you're a G-body enthusiast and have always wanted a t-top model, this could be the one. You can drive it as is and be proud or freshen it up and have a show stopper. I'm also including a decent set of paint to match Olds rally wheels these were commonly seen with. I just think adding those, matched to the paint would be awesome. That's up to you....
Bid with confidence. My reserve is reasonable and less than I paid for the car! Feel free to reach out for more information. I can assist with shipping and offer it at a discount to a winning bidder also!
