Car description |
---|
There are not many of these cars left, so get it while you can!
Completely stock 26 year-old vehicle is in decent physical shape for its age, and for sitting for about 12 years. It does not start, but it turns over quickly when a good battery is connected as if it would start. When I was looking at it I noticed that the distributor turns when I grab it (is supposed to be tight). My dad, born in 1930 and a do-it-yourself'er, was not able to get it to start, and either the loose distributor is the reason it does not run, or he loosened it trying to get it to start. Dad replaced this car in 2005 with a 1991 Chevy Caprice wagon which I recently listed at auction.
- Passed NJ State emissions inspection in 2004 (the last year this car was used was 2005).
This vehicle was purchased in 1998 - as the second actual owner, with 57K miles. Dad drove only around town and during those years added a little more than 2,000 miles per year. Some details:
1. Outdoor-kept car so surface is very dull and original paint will likely will need repaint 2. The cloth seats and the interior upholstery are in very good condition 3. Third-row vinyl/leather seat is in excellent condition (rear-facing) 4. Rear hatch window needs new struts to assist in lift and hold-up 5. Body does not show any signs of accidents - sides look straight 6. The rear-view mirror is detached from the windshield and needs to be re-attached 7. Control panel on the driver door is coming loose from the door panel 8. Vehicle is being sold as-is with no idea whether you will get it to start or not
305/307 CI 5.0L V8 TBI - low mileage on the engine (approx. 79K miles)
