Car description

Up for auction is a 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado. Single family owned since 10/14/65 delivery date. Parked in 1992 and has been sitting in the same garage ever since.

After 25 years of sitting, a new battery, some clean gas, new points an oil change, the car started right up. The original 425 Rocket V8 motor runs smoothly still. The engine compartment could use a little clean up. The transmission is the 3-speed turbo hydramatic with front wheel drive. The car has amazing power.

The body is very solid. Paint is good but not fantastic seems that it has had a repaint of original color. Glass is great. The chrome wheels with stainless cap & rings are in perfect condition. Michelin tires might bea bit old but have low mileage on them.

Interior is in in really nice shape including the dash and headliner. The driver’s seat shows wear. Highly stylized steering wheel with a double-delta shaped horn ring is in good shape. It has a "slot-machine" speedometer, which consisted of a stationary horizontal "needle" and a vertically rotating black drum on which the numerals were printed in white.

Car remains largely original. We replaced one brake line and would recommend some new brake shoes. Everything else on the car works including the hideaway vacuum headlights. The car has power steering. Itcomes withprotecto plate.
