1959 Stock Nash Metropolitan (AMC) Hardtop Coupe
Awesome little car! Runs, drives, shifts and stops great! Autumn yellow & white paint job. Everybody refers to these as "Nash" Metropolitans but AMC was formed in 1954 byNash-Kelvinator Corporation and Hudson Motor Car Company merging so it's actually an AMC.Converted to 12V negative ground from a 6V positive ground. Converted to an alternator.Everything works except gas gauge isn't reading properly. No rust. A lot of time, effort & money has been invested to get her this far, now it's time for the next owner to get her to the finish line! A lot of fun and a real head turner! Will come with a 3-ring binder of info & some receipts that I've started on her. I also can provide many many email files of info on her & on Metropolitans in general that I've collected. Pluses: vintage Flying Lady Hood Ornament, new brakes and most of the lines (brakes adjusted & bled), working original AM tube radio, locking gas cap, fairly new paint job, fairly new tires, New headliner (not professionally installed so not perfect), new battery, some new rubber gaskets (trunk & door windows), new spare tire cover, new rear seat pad, trunk underside vinyl, new timing chain, bearind & water pump, valve adjustment & oil change, new seat belts installed, 12V battery monitor, new horns (separate button), & new carb. Could use some front seat covers and a carpet kit or rubber matting depending on which way you want to go. Also, there are keys to lock any and everything that needs locking. Will come with a 3-ring binder of info & some receipts that I've started on her. I also can provide many many email files of info on her & on Metropolitans in general that I've collected. $500.00 Paypal deposit required with awinning bid at end of auction.
