Up for auction is a decent low mileage Delica. This is my 5th Delica & my first stick shift. Geared lower than the automatics, so not a great Fwy cruiser. If you're converting to a camper & adding weight this might be the way to go. Or a lift & bigger tires might get you there. True 4WD with a hi/lo transfer case & auto locking hubs I bought this in Canada & imported it. It had been sitting at a body shop with no motor for a couple of years( Still removing white overspray) I bought one of the so called low mileage motors from japan. Upon inspection we found it to be loaded with carbon(probably a city vehicle that never got opened up) Pulled the head & gave the valves a quick turn. Cleaned everythin, including the turbo & put it back together with new timing belt, water pump & related components. Installed with new clutch. Motor runs great, with not too much smoke. Climbs like a Goat! Body is decent. I fixed a couple of rust spots & dings. I'm not a pro but looks OK. SUPER CLEAN underneath. Roof had rust also.I believe this is the 2nd go at it. Non matching green enamel up there. Most Delicas(especially glass roof models) have had rust repair. They rust from the inside where bracing meets the sheet metal, due to condensation forming up on the glass. This one no exception, but that being said, NO rust on wheel well, rockers & door jambs, etc... Far from perfect, but drives very nice, new Goodyear Wranglers this year. All lights & glass good, gauges & power windows fine. AC is intact but not hooked up, belt is included. No drips or leaks. Interior Good with a couple of split seams. Power roof shades do not work, I have them in the closed position. The plastic clips deteriorate over time & are no longer in production. Feel free to ask questions, my phone # is available for the asking. Inspections welcome, van is in so Utah, 2 hrs north of Las Vegas. Sold as is where is, should be able to be driven anywhere, but please use common sense if you're cross country.
