Car description |
---|
Regretfully selling this MG-A that has been in the family since new.
Current owners father purchased the car new in Pennsylvania and is in very nice original condition (restored 20 years ago).He passed in 2009 and his daughter brought it to San Diego where it's been the past 10+ years.
Recent $3k+ service completed by British specialist Mel's in San Marcos this past month. He re-built the twin SU carbs in installed new Plugs, Wiresand Fuel Pump so the car fires right up and drives great. Also went through the Brakes and stops as it should.
- Single Family Ownership
- 84,750 Original Miles
- Records/Receipts Going Back 'Til New
- "Old English White" with Black Interior (original color combo)
- 1588cc 4-cylinder Engine(engine #: 16GA-U 9793)
- 4-speed Manual Transmission
- #'s Matching
- Front Disc Brakes
- Original Owners Manuals & Books- Knock-Off Wire Wheels
- Black Convertible Top & Toneau Cover (could use new top)- Owners Manual
Full Disclosure: If we were keeping the car, Mel recommended the frontsuspension should be gone through, such as Bushings, Ball Joints and Shocks (approximately $1,000-$1,500). It drives great with no vibrations, but going overspeed bumps, you can hear some creeks and chatter coming from the front suspension. It clips along at 70mph on the freeway perfectly.
If you are looking for a neat weekend car that gets tons of attention, this is a fun choice.
