This 1962 (the last year of MGA production) MGA 1600 MKII Roadster is a restored example for sale by it's fourth long term owner. It is a mildly modified but period correct roadster that was fully restored in 2008. What is believed to be the original 1622cc engine was rebuilt using 1800cc pistons and a mild racing cam and has been fully balanced. The transmission was professionally rebuilt. Restoration work also included rust repair and a professional repaint in Old English White, the car's original factory color as confirmed by the British Motoring Industry Heritage Trust Certificate. The car is completely corrosion free and solid through out. Sheet metal is very straight, paint is excellent and chrome presents equally well. Note the period correct headlight stone guards. A spare Old English White boot lid without luggage rack holes is included. Originally fitted with wire wheels from the factory, the car now has more reliable and safer Minilite style aluminum wheels wrapped in 185/65-15 nearly new Continentals. The restoration focused on creating a reliable and fun driver good for long distance use and impressive enough to garner class wins at various British car shows. This always garaged car is a strong running and tastefully upgraded MKII roadster that is ready to drive.
