Car description

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this nice MGA 1600 Roadster in lovely traditional colors. This car was recently purchased on the East Coast from it's long term owner who found he just wasn't using the car enough. It's a good driving, older nicely restored example with the bonus of a desirable 1800cc early MGB engine fitted for improved horespower (95hp).The bodywork on this car is quite good all the way around with nice normal panel gaps, with no evidence of accidents. The paint color appears very correct in it's creamy Olde English White. It has older body and paintwork, but was a quality job and is still showing nicely with a few recent touched-up paint chips. It's perfectly mellowed and approachable for the nice driver condition the car is today. Brightwork is very good to excellent with a mixture of nice original and newer items. The large items like the grille and bumper set definitely appear new or replated. The windshield glass is the original triplex item with a small splinter on the driver's side edge. The car's interior is in very nice condition all around and was renewed at the time of the car's paint job. It features a correctly painted dashboard facia, beautiful and comfortable red leather seats, nice red panel kit and black carpet set. Gauges and switches appear nice and clean, operating correctly. The car is supplied with it's original soft top frame and a sidescreen set, with a good serviceable black soft top that can be put back into use.The car's engine bay is very clean and presentable. It could use a light easy detailing of the components to improve it. Mechanically, the car feels very good and at home, well-tuned, and behaves well out on the road. We originally purchased the car out of storage and fitted a new fuel pump, a fresh battery, along with a set of rear wheel brake cylinders. The car's 1800cc engine starts easily on the key with good oil pressure and a healthy exhaust note. It revs well with no smoke and has good power. The gearbox gearbox shifts fine with good syncros and no excessive noises. Brakes and suspension feel fine, although the front shocks feel soft and need looking at. The correct, silver-painted 48-spoke wire wheel and tire set feel nice and smooth rolling along the road. This MGA Roadster is a good little performer and can be driven confidently and briskly out on the road. PLEASE SEE VIDEO.The underside looks very normal for the age of the car. The trunk is currently black but could improve it's look from a brush touch of white body color paint.Overall, an attractive desirable MGA 1600 Roadster finished in a great traditional original color scheme. This car presents honestly and is quite approachable with it's quality older restoration. It's the perfect car to use and enjoy often, and is ready for it's next caretaker.
