Hello MG fans! ***TO ALL BUYERS: honest, motivated seller here looking to build a positive EBay score who is confident in the product on offer so please bid with peace of mind! I am proud to offer this desirable and attractive 1969 MGB GT with OVERDRIVE and wire wheels finished in Primerose yellow over a sporty black interior with steel dash. This Canadian-specification car features a very interesting history as Proof of Ontario ownedship reveals it belonged to the renowned Montreal born artist, singer, writer and poet Leonard Cohen. He owned the car over a 5 year period between 1981 and 1986 while living in Scarborough Ontario. This beautiful car was lovingly cared for and boasts rock-solid floor pan and body (n.1 buying criteria for any discerning MG enthusiast). Never winter driven. Gorgeous cosmetics back the solid chassis. The car was originally delivered by the factory in Grapian Grey as shown by British the Motor Heritage certificate that comes with it and has been repainted once (approximately 10 years ago) by previous owner. Although the age of the paint, it still presents beautifully with deep glossand properly-aligned panels. Although not a concours vehicle by any means, the GT presents extremely well and can be driven proudly to any local car show. Brightwork appearing in excellent original condition with beautiful chrome bumpers and grill. Body panels are straight and properly aligned. Wire wheels feature correct silver paint with chrome knock offs. The tires are almost new and have very few miles on them. This car features a metal dash interior, trimmed in period correct vinyl on the seats and door panels. The seats and the carpets were replaced when the car was repainted and have no, to minimal wear, the headlining is in good condition. All mechanical components function as they should. The original engine was rebuilt approximately 12,000 miles ago by renown local MG specialist and shows perfect 50 psi oil pressure at idle that consumes no oil, and tout properly shifting transmission (typical occasional 3rd gear pop out when downshifting at higher revs). Perfectly tuned with fresh oil change, it fires right up on the first turn of the key! Factory original controls and switches are in excellent working condition, including the charming map lights. Equipped with period correct european fog lights which are also fully functional. The odometer is showing just over 87,000 miles with fresh engine professional rebuild (less than 12,000 miles). This is a rare opportunity to own a sorted out MGB GT with an eye-catching color and wheel combination, fully functional overdrive transmission and unique ownership history.
Best of luck! |
