Car description |
---|
I have bills to pay and other interests. Just when I have this car looking and running good... I've decided to sell it.
Garaged and babied. Easy to start and very dependable. Good tires. Nothing actually necessary to do to it if you buy it.
$9,000 spent with receipts to prove it--purchase price and adding up the parts I bought and the work done on it.
This car does not have a 17-digit VIN so if you search you don't get a full report. The VIN check I got verifies no issues of record. That's good but that's about it.
Specs for this car are at:http://www.automobile-catalog.com/make/mg/mgb/mgb_4_roadster/1979.htmlThis MGB is titled as a Mark III though some websites say 1979 was Mark IV. Also, this car doesn't have overdrive, but I have had it rated as 92 hp. This is a peppy engine.
I bought it in 2013 from a fellow who owned it from 2007. It appears to never have been north. The body was solid when I bought it, with no spots rusted through. Before I bought it and when I restored/repainted it, I made sure it was not a rust bucket!
Best of all, come drive it. Or have someone you trust visit to see it. We can take it to any garage you wish. But you can also BID WITH CONFIDENCE.
I will hold this car for you for up to 2 weeks (for free) after you pay in full. You can come here to get it.
I recommend you ship it any serious distance. It's perfectly drivable but its 40 years old--a collectible car. If you drive it on a highway, don't plan to push it over 60 for long! Don't beat it up, please. Shipping is not that expensive...
