Car description

For sale by second owner, 1980 Limited Edition MGB convertible with clean title. Garage kept.
In good mechanical condition all-around: (1) engine starts quickly and runs smoothly, with excellent acceleration; (2) clutch in very good shape, shifting is smooth, manual transmission is fourspeed, no overdrive; (3) steering is firm and sporty as it should be; (4) brakes work fine; (5) doors, trunk and hood operate smoothly and close firmly & tight; window cranks operate smoothly as well; (6) convertible mechanism is excellent - operating smoothly, locking tightly to windshield, and convertible top is very clean in excellent shape, with zippered rear window; (7) all lights functioning, however the turn signal lever sometimes sticks and needs to be jiggled for turn signals to flash; (8) gas gauge does not function, other gauges, and indicator lights on dash are functioning; (9) alternator replaced last month, battery holds charge well. (10) radio does not work, don't know why.
Repainted at sometime by original owner before we bought it in 2009, still looks great but there is some bubbling of paint in three small spots on left rear fender, and one on front right fender. (Replacement Limited Edition stripes are in glovebox.) There is a small crack near passenger-side mirror (see last photo). Interior door panels are in very good shape. Dash/fascia is in good shape, with one large crack above glove box. Seats were re-padded & re-upholstered in leather in 2012. Carpet behind seats needs to be replaced. We removed the "sun-visors" years ago, probably threw them away.
This is a 37 year old vehicle that has not been restored or rebuilt: I have done my best to describe this car's condition and I do not know of any major issues, mechanical or cosmetic, other than those described above. However, being a private owner and not a dealer, I cannot make any warranty or guarantee: this vehicle is sold as is. You may email me with any questions, or to request additional photos.
