Car description |
---|
thanks for looking at my car.
It has been disassembled and (for the most part), media blasted and primed (interior surfaces} with zinc chromate primer. The exterior has been primed with a high-build rustoleoum primer. and then all the panels have been reassembled
The chrome has been rechromed to a high standard. Parts include gas-tank end panels, radiator surround, gas-tank holdown straps, spare-tire mounting brackett, licenseplate mounting bracket/etc. Unfortunatly the long central spline on the front of the radiator surround snapped as I was installing it, multiple "fixs" exist for this repair see pics.
New chrome and assemlies include: NEW fender mirrors, NEW tailight assemblies, new battery and cables, sparkpluigs, NEW hubcaps (5) New frt-end bushings AND MORE.New tires on media blasted rims.
Windshield chrome is excellentwindshield is clear and uncracked, folds forward (down) easily.
Floor panels (floors and side curtain area and such) are complete and very good. All other wood is complete and in very good condition. A prudent owner would, as time permits, use each one of the wood bits as a template to cut them fresh out of a sheet of 5/8ths marine grade plywood, coated with Cupernol and never need replacement. .
NOTE
NOTE, car does not ;have only 100 miles, but the software requires that I put some thing in there, will update this tomorrow.
NOTE back when these were considered race-cars they were sometimes fitted with cycle-fenders on the front...OR... had the running boards removed and modified the rear-of-the front-fenders to match the rear-of-the-rear fenders (swallow-tail-treatment) My car has the latter.
NOTE almost all the parts were sourced from Moss motors and have their part-markings.
Wiring harness seems complete but with evidence of prior-patching.
NOTE in one of the pics you will see the W/S wiper motor along with all 4 hood hold-down mechanisms, i think its about the 12th pic
top and side-curtain frames are complete but shabby and brittle. Dash and instruments are complete and appear in good condition. steering is tight and smooth.Bumpers are in OK driver shape but not so nice as the rechromed bits, They arrived with the car but not on it. New owner may want to rechrome so all the chrome matches .5 "old" hubcaps arre also supplied so you can take the MG centers and put them onto the new hubcaps.
The vertical slats are in good shape but have been painted black by prior owner .
please ask questions about anything i have not covered? .
