Car description

Here is an ultra rare car!! When was the last time you saw a Bright Red 1988 Cougar XR-7 Sport Model WITH the 5.0L Engine WITH factory Dual Exhaust that is a lifelong Georgia Vehicle?? Well, here it is, oh and did I mention it is a ONE OWNER vehicle?? Single woman owner who got the car from her husband for her birthday way back in 1988. Only driven to her job in Atlanta its entire life. You don't find ORIGINAL vehicles much nicer than this!! This Cougar is complete, runs and drives well, and most things seem to work on it. Only modification we could see is the addition of an alarm system and a Sony radio, although we DO have the original radio with it. Also has a 2 year old a/c compressor and receiver/dryer and has been converted to R-134. Also has the Sport wheels in GREAT shape WITH all 4 Cougar Center Caps. Bodywise there doesn't appear to be any paint work other than the roof which was painted. We also have the ORIGINAL Window Sticker and ORIGINAL Owners Manual. Overall, the car is in GREAT shape. Now remember, its 32 years old, so it's NOT perfect, it does have faded paint, wear, dirt, and at least one oil leak, and the brake pedal seems a little low but it does seem to stop OK. Overall though, we feel this car is in great shape for its age. Body is almost perfect, hood and left fender have minor damage from a tree branch falling on it, see 2nd photo and last photo. These cars have just disappeared from the American roads, and its a very classic design that was highly sought after in its day.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Again, its a 32 year old car, so do not expect it to be perfect. Recommend you tow or trailer it, but if you plan to drive it, bring a mechanic, 4 tires (dry rotted), all new radiator/heater hoses (hoses appear original, remember rubber over 10 years old is not safe), and a master cylinder. Dual exhaust system is intact but does have some pin holes in it. Strictly sold as-is, where is.
