Rare Convertible '72 Mercury Cougar XR7, one owner!

The 72-73 Cougar is the last of the Mustang based Cougars and sported a new aggressive grill and semi-fastback styling. This car marks the end of the 60's muscle car era and Mercury only produced 1,929 convertibles in 1972. A lighter body and a slightly longer wheel base than the 71 and the reintroduction of the convertible option and XR7 are part of this two year production run, fter 73 the Cougar was moved to a bigger sedan like chassis.

This one owner car with registration history, ervice and maintenance records is very close to original. Clean, orking power convertible top and power windows, old A/C and am/fm radio. Small "dings" and could use fresh paint. Interior is original and intact. A sharp looking, un weekend cruiser that gets a lot of attention!

We've been through the engine, leaned her up and made sure she's running good. Carburetor upgraded from 2 barrel to a stock 4.....of course we'll send the original along with the sale.
