Car description

Cool Classic Rides, Dealer #DA8690 is excited to offer another classic with this 1971 Mercury Cyclone GT. Get ready for a piece of very rare, muscle car history. With a 351 Cleveland, this ride has plenty of power. It runs and drives excellent. In fact, our owner drove it as a daily driver for nearly a year with no problem whatsoever. It is hard to pick where to start when talking up this cool, classic ride. The body is in fantastic condition with no rust found. It has the driest, most rust free under carriage we have seen on a 1971 vehicle here. With a great hood scoop in the front and spoiler in the back, and chrome bumpers too, this car has style. A new coat of factory original color Grabber Green really shines with the original, black vinyl top. This vinyl top is unbelievable. I argued with the owner about whether or not he had replaced it because you just can’t believe the look and condition it is in. Working hideaway headlights add to the cool factor of this muscle car and it all sits on American Racing wheels, with great tires. Inside, all we have done is put in a new carpet kit, everything else is 100% original. The headliner, bucket seats and bench, door panels, center console and cockpit style dash are all original and look absolutely fantastic. All dash gauges work and even have a very cool, factory green back light. The interior of this Cyclone is beautiful. In 1971, there were only 2,287 GT’s built and it was the last year of the Cyclone. This is a true piece of muscle car history and is very rare. With so few built, they are getting to be nearly impossible to find anymore, especially in this great of condition. If you are a real fan of classic muscle, this is the ride for you. It just doesn’t get any better. We always recommend a professional inspection, or a private viewing before any purchase. We do not sell show cars, we sell nice daily drivers, made to get out on the open road. All of our descriptions are the personal opinions of Cool Classic Rides. Note that the mileage listed is considered either over mechanical limits or exempt status not actual mileage unless otherwise noted. We love cars, it’s what we do, So let’s talk.
