New for '53! It's the redesigned Mercury M100 pick-up, engineered with the driver in mind. Relive the days of the Eisenhower administration (or the St Laurent cabinet, eh?) in this 65+ year-old pick-up truck. The flathead was updated with aftermarket speed equipment and converted to 12 volt. Runs well. Everything else is as manufactured in '53. It drives as manufactured in '53. I have owned the truck for 5 years; engine work was done 3 years ago. This is not a show truck; it spent most of its life in Vancouver, BC until I brought it to California in 2014. The cab floors are good, but there is some rust in the bed and fenders. It is fun to drive as is. People at car shows will insist that Mercury never made a pick-up truck. Ford made 10 times as many F100's as Mercury M100. They were manufactured and sold in Canada and there are not many of them left. This one has clean year of manufacture commercial plates and comes with much literature.
