1986 Mercury Capri

I've owned this Capri for the last 13 years. It has been driven infrequently and garaged. Oil changes were done frequently. There's no body rust and everything works as it should. The original paint is far from perfect, and I've included pictures of any issues (please see all the pictures before bidding). The car has a stock sunroof.

There was a number of performance upgrades done by the previous owner (cold-air intake, throttle body, cobra intake manifold, ignition and distributor, aluminum driveshaft, shorty headers, high flow exhaust, 3.73 gears). The stock speed-density computer was replaced with a Ford Racing MAS air system. Please see the list of specific parts used below.

I replaced the stock clutch at about 45K with a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch. I was replacing a noisy throwout bearing, so decided to put in something better while I was in there anyways. I also replaced the flywheel, rear main seal, pilot bearing, and bearing retainer. While I had everything out, I replaced the stock motor and transmission mounts with polyurethane ones. Also installed a Steeda clutch quadrant and firewall adjuster.

The interior is in good condition. Seats are very good, except for what appears to be a small pinhole burn in the back seat. The headliner sags and should be replaced (tried the adhesive several years ago, but didn't hold for more than a month). The dashboard is sun-faded and cracked at one of the speaker grills. Stereo is stock and sounds awful, and I recommend replacing.

About 4K miles ago, New American Racing rims and Dunlop SP5000 tires were put on the car. I have the original 10-hole Capri rims with Toyo tires mounted, the buyer is free to take those too.
