52 MECURY MONTEREY HOTROD FLATHEAD 2 DOOR 255 CID V8 3 SPEED STICK RATROD

This is an easy fixer upper! 10-20 hours and you got a super clean California car!

This California 1952 2 door was fanatically restored down to every nut and bolt back 15-20 years ago. Working a/c was also installed! Still in extremely pristine condition. It has only travelled 1876 miles since restoration.

The flathead engine is a "b" block 255ci that was also rebuilt and hopped up with offenhauser heads and intake, with twin carburators, Fenton headers as well as functional side pipes, if you unbolt tips. The engine just started developing a slight miss fire and shop said passenger head gasket, a minor fix on flatheads with these heads

Paint overall is a beautiful 2 stage base coat clear coat sanded completely flat buffed to a deep shine, color is brilliant deep metallic blue similar to fords sapphire blue from mid 60s, with its silver on the roof tying into the interior, the paints an easy 8 with just some minor flaws and a little bubbling on bottom of doors, so minor it wouldn't show in pictures

The chrome was all replaced including the stainless, either replaced with nos or repolished and shows no pitting. New windshield and side glass all look good, has some small scratches in rear center window, also wouldn't show up in pictures

Tires are like new at about 90% and are white wall Coker classics and look great on their red rims and chrome hubcaps

Also has the rear fender skirts painted to match (fiberglass)

This car was switched over to 12 volt at some point

Interior completely redone, just received a new steering box with tilt steering and lecarra wheel. during restoration the dash pod was updated with all auto-meter gauges.

This has the 3 speed transmission and was rebuilt 1876 miles ago as well, it is now popping out of second gear at times but stays in fine if you hold it. No grinding or problems, may just need linkage adjusting or synchro.

This car runs drives and stops with absolutely no problems! Easy to drive/load right up on trailer. We haven't been running or driving it since the head gasket problem to not do any damage

Compare this to what others are selling for 28-30k that need everything done. This thing has been completely gone threw, with approx 15k worth of engine work and upgrades done. If we get the time to fix this, we will be asking 38k
