1964 Comet Caliente Convertible Rare 289-4V Factory 4 speed manual transmission 5 lug This car was purchased in 1970,driven for a short time until the owner went into the military. In the early 80s it was taken out of retirement, had a new convertible top installed and was driven sparingly until being parked once again for several years. In the early 2000s the owner once again got the "itch",drove it into the garage under the house and began taking it apart for a restoration. We all know how that goes...it never happened. The car has sat apart in the garage for the past 15 years, untouched. The drivetrain has been removed, but is included.Every part that I have for this car is included in the sale. This should be most of what is needed.Only items that were not at all worth salvaging were discarded. The car ran and drove into the garage in 2003. The car is apart and NEEDS RESTORATION.Please understand that you are buying a project car. It has rust in both quarters,a few spots about the size of a silver dollar on the body(one door, one fender)and I believe a small spot poking through on the floor.Overall in my opinion, its well worth a restoration. The convertible top is intact, but the back plastic window is no good and will need to be replaced. Bucket seat interior with console.Needs to be redone as well. Rear bumper not shown, but is included. I have the title and bill of sale from 1970 as well! Keep in mind, the car is apart. Most parts are in boxes. You will need a pickup truck and trailer to remove everything.Removal and shipping if needed is buyers responsibility.
