1963 Mercury Comet Convertible v8 4 speed

1963 Comet convertible 4 speed V8 289. (260 VIN car, but has a 64 Mercury 289 in it) Tons of new parts and allot of work has been already done for its restoration. 8" rear end rebuilt with all new bearings, all blasted and painted with new leaf springs and shackles, new U joints, rebuilt original 4 speed T-10 Borg warner transmission with stock shifter. Engine runs strong with a new water pump, new belts and hoses, tuneup and new radiator. Brakes have all been redone, with new lines. Brake pedal is at the top. New gas tank with new sending unit. The Comet had 3" steel tubing run through each side of the frame for reinforcement. Floor pans are new and the driver's side has been cut and tacked into place. All glass rolls up and down, no cracks. Car runs and drives, just needs full exhaust, top, and some bodywork/paint. Perfect winter project that will be done by spring. Some bodywork has begun in the rear, all nuts and bolts are in marked packaging. Cardinal Red paint code, had white top on it originally. These Comet convertible 4 speed v8s are getting harder and harder to find, and a blast to drive, spins the tires in second gear. Clean title.
