Feel younger and more attractive in this 1963 Mercury Comet Custom Convertible. Featuring the optional 260 cu in V-8 engine with a 3 speed manual transmission, it will move quick if you want it to. Restored in the mid 1980's with new paint and upholstery and garage kept ever since. It is no longer a show car, but it's still presentable and makes a lasting impression. Engine is very solid, driven from Denver to south Texas in 2015 with no problems. Does not leak oil or antifreeze (unusual for a 54 year old car). Everything works except the horn and radio (radio was working until recently when someone vandalized the antenna). Paint is oxidized, needs a good polish and perhaps a repaint depending on what you plan to do with it. Headlights flicker unpredictably at night sometimes, they turn back on if you wiggle the switch. Should be an easy fix. New tires summer of 2015, has been driven only minimally since. Top works and is functional, faded though and does have some fabric that needs re-stitching (only visible inside the car with the top up). Gas pedal is missing (see photo). Super cute and fun to drive! I will miss it, but I've got too many cars and need to downsize a bit.
