1955 Mercury Montclair two door hard top.
Purchased three years ago out of southern Texas. Typical bottom rust - frame good.
Restoration begun: Monterey parts car purchased out of central Washington--body is relatively rust free (surface), and could be restored; I have removed the front clip of both cars, and powder coated all inner fender components; Rims are green powder coated, and valve covers and air cleaner have been media blasted and yellow painted; Much of the body molding bright work has been chromed - all trim come with the car.
Original drive train is all there: 292 cid motor, Merc-o-matic transmission (unknown if they run). No power steering or brakes-- a complete power brake unit, from the parts car, comes with the purchase.
This car needs a total restoration. The Montclair and parts car are being sold as a unit, and are not being parted out.
I really like the car, and have invested over $7,000; but my interest has changed: I purchased a 55 Oldsmobile Starfire to restore--you do the math.
The last photo is what it will look like when completed--a gorgeous vehicle, and worth every cent invested.
Texas certificate of title is included with the Montclair. Washington certificate of title with Monterey parts car.
Shipping and costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
