Even though it has 136k on it it looks like a 36k mile car. This car has been in the family since 1994 when we bought it with only 22k miles on it and back then we paid $38. 00 for it. It is in excellent condition and has always been maintained and serviced and we are the second owners. The paint is in great condition and shines very well. Since 1994 it has always been garaged. The paint is all-original and has a rare dealer-optioned pinstripe. The car is very straight and the doors. trunk and hood close with a solid "thud" as they should. The tires are in great condition with plenty of tread on them all around. The glass is in great condition all around with no cracks. The hardtop is included as well as the hardtop caddy for easier storage. It is in excellent condition both inside and out. The paint on the outside looks fantastic and the headliner on the inside is in excellent condition. All the locks and mechanisms work as they should. The soft top is in excellent condition as well with no rips or tears. The windows are all clear and it folds and locks into position as it should. The car runs great and fires right up as it should. It is quiet and goes down the freeway at 70 with no problems at all and has tons of power during kick-down. It has never left me stranded anywhere. All the major service has been completed so the next owner is good to go. The next thing I was going to do was the lower ball-joints. The parts are$30-36 each. The transmission shifts smooth as it should with no slipping. The interior is very clean and original. It is oxblood red which is a rare interior option on this car especially with the charcoal gray exterior paint. The dash is very clean as well as all the panels and the leather is very comfortable. All the lights work including the: dash lights. head lights. signals. brake lights. backup lights. interior lights and running lights. All the gauges work however the odometer just stopped. I have a folder full of paperwork and can document the mileage to show it is original as well as with a car fax. The srs light comes on every once and awhile. It's probably a matter of a fuse or cleaning contacts. The air conditioning blows ice cold and the windows roll up and down as they should. The stereo is all stock and works great and sounds good. This is a beautiful 560SL that is very hard to find in this condition. These cars are going up and up in value and are thought to be the newest collectible Mercedes in the classic car collector market and are a great investment. This car is all-original. turn key and has a folder full of paper work and service records. I have two keys for it. all the original owners manuals and documents. the original took kit. the original hardtop keys and plastic case. and much much more. This is an excellent example of a beautiful. original 560SL. Clean title and ready to go to a new home.
