Here is a rare, one owner 1979 Mercedes-Benz 300SD equipped with the OM 617, 3.0L 5 cylinder Turbo Diesel motor and an automatic transmission! One of very few left in this kind of shape and such low miles! We have over 200 more pictures including all service and maintenance records, original books, manuals, ect. This Mercedes was bought brand new in Germany by the original female owner, her and her husband toured Europe for a couple months, had the first service performed at the Mercedes-Benz dealership and shipped the car back with them when they returned to their home in California, where the car has lived ever since, no rust and garaged the entire time! We have all records for this SD since day one, serviced, maintained and repaired at the same Dealership, only genuine Mercedes-Benz parts have been used and put on this car! All of the miles and dates add up to this day and every single record and stamp is from the dealer and the dealer only. The original paint shines and looks beautiful, please see pictures. This car was never abused and never involved in any accidents! Included in the sale are all of the original service records, stamped maintenance booklet from Mercedes, all original books and manuals, literature, the original data palate, Purchase Order European Delivery, keys, etc.
The interior is in excellent condition.The seats are in great shape and free of cracks or splits, please see pictures. All of the glass including the windshield is original Mercedes-Benz and in perfect shape, free of cracks or chips. All of the gauges work great aside for the rpm, needs a new rpm sensor and the power antenna only works sometimes, noted in the records. The stock Becker radio still works great! All of the power/vacuum options work perfect including the climate control, the unit was replaced some years back. The headliner and dash pad are in perfect shape, free of splits or cracks, please see pictures. The original first aid kit has never been opened. The original carpet and floor mats are very clean and free of any stains or rips, original coco floor mats are also included which have been placed on top of the factory ones since new. A custom car cover will also come with the car. This car was never smoked in and had no pets inside.
The engine starts rightupand purrs. The motor was just serviced at the dealer with fresh motor oil&filter, new fuel&air filters, the brake fluid has been flushed and a brand new Mercedes-Benz battery was installed. The transmission shifts very smooth and crisp, just serviced as well with fresh fluid and filter. A complete inspection of the car was performed as well all at a cost of just under $1,800. There are no leaks of any kind! The AC has been converted to R134a, works great and the fuel injection pump has been completely resealed some years back. Thetires are still in good condition and mounted on factory alloy wheels, the original spare has never been used! This SD never missed a service, was always maintained on time and extremely well cared for, no expense spared!
