Car description

1970 Mercedes 250

Here up for sale is this very clean 1970 Mercedes W114 sedan. An Oregon car for many years, the car still wears almost all of its original paint, and has all original upholstery, still in great shape. The car is solid with no rust issues, undercarriage photos are shown further below. The hood has been repainted, and shows some pimpling when the light catches it from an angle, see photo below. Also, there is very light crazing on the nose, and passenger side C-pillar. I've included photos, but it's really difficult to see or notice unless you put your face right up to it. Overall, the paint is very presentable, but I wanted to mention these areas.
All of the glass is original, including the windshield, and shows no flaws or hard water spotting, it's evident that this car was stored indoors.
The car has had recent brake service, a new battery, new water pump, new hoses and belts, plus a new starter and alternator. On top of all that, I recently had both of the Zenith carburetors rebuilt! The receipt for $855 (ouch) is included. The tires have 11-2017 date codes. All door perimeter weatherstripping was replaced, as well as the trunk seal.
The interior is like stepping back in time, the MB Tex seats are in perfect condition, a real testament to the materials that MB used back then. Headliner, dash and door panels are all very good, and Coco Mats replace the original floor mats. All gauges and controls work properly, but the fan is sluggish for the first 15 seconds and the radio doesn't seem to tune in anything but static. Also, the tiny wire that moves the gear shift indicator on the dash has broken, and the clock is not working.
The lights, signals, wipers and horn all operate correctly. The door locks all work, the windows all wind smoothly, heater works great, etc. The car retains its full set of Kangol seatbelts, still with their stickers. The car comes with its original jacking equipment and tool kit. No bad smells or cigarette odor, this is a good one. The previous owner told me that the miles are original (42k), but due to its age the car is sold mileage exempt.

There's lots of pictures from all angles so you can get a good feel for what you're looking at. The pictures should do the talking but if you have any questions feel free to call me at 503-891-7702, or email me through Ebay.
The car has a clean and clear Oregon State title ready to be transferred to any US state, or overseas, with no issues. The transport cost is the responsibility of the winning bidder, although I'll be happy to help with logistics and recommendations. I ship a lot of cars and get good rates, so let me know if you need help with that. Thanks for looking!
