Serious BARN FIND, this car has been non-op for 15 years with a Clean California title. These 280SL's were never sold in the US and are known as Grey Market, (purchased over seas and shipped over). Car has 4 brand new tires, (for some reason I didn't notice the shop did not change the valve stems, so 2 have a slow leak) but it is not because of the tires. Car had not been run for over 15 years, to start it cleaned the fuel tank, unclogged numerous lines, replaced the fuel pump, replaced the ignition module, changed spark plugs, oil and filter. Engine will start but is no where near road worthy right now, has some cracked vacuum lines, ect, I just went as far as to start it to make sure there was no engine knocks ECT. engine seems very solid. I can send a YouTube video of it running. Paint has clear coat peeling on hood, roof and trunk lids, no rust or body damage noted, it does look like the trunk lid was replaced as it has the 380SL emblem. 280SL's are VERY rare,I don't mind keeping i, but figured I would see what the market would bear and of course everything has its price.
