This original 280SE 3.5 sunroof Coupé has been meticulously restored in Germany by renowned W111 experts including Frobeen, Kienle and Lehmann. Over 120,000$ (all documented) have been invested to preserve this timeless hand-built Mercedes Benz icon. With its bullet proof Mercedes Benz technique it is a great daily driver or weekend cruiser.
In its original combination of silver and black this W111 with full options was one of about 800 to be exported to the United States. We bought it from the second owner in California with tons of service receipts and original documents to bring it back to Germany, where it has been restored over the last years. This car is fitted with (all original) the desired Behr air conditioning (blows ice cold, just refilled with R12), large electric sunroof, four electric windows, new Michelin MXV whitewall tires, central floor shift with 4 speed automatic, rare Zebrano wood trim, center console with armrest, new windshield, new taillights, etc. The car has been repainted as necessary with chrome and rubber replaced or refreshened. The undercarriage was dry-ice cleaned and conserved. Engine, axles, chassis, technique, wires, steering, transmission, exhaust system, injection system, cables, roof, trunk, doors, and so much more have all been restored and bill/ photo documented. On demand, any additional information can be presented. The new owner will receive all restoration documents and photos for future purposes since prices will continue going up.
This low-production model is experiencing increasing appreciation as it is the last hand-built Mercedes Benz combining classic craftsmanship with modern V8 driving performance.
Car is located in Germany. Shipping at buyer´s cost to any ports worldwide.
