Car description |
---|
This Mercedes Benz 220 (W 115) has had only two owners. It has only 61,028 original miles. I recently put in a new battery and new brake line.
The car is about as good as you're going to find for an old Mercedes of this type. The paint is glossy and the chrome and bright work are in great shape. The interior looks like it has never been used...and everything works, including the radio and clock. The trunk is spotless. The engine is clean enough to eat off of and runs very well. The transmission shifts perfectly and along with the engine, the car drives extremely smoothly. The car was cared for meticulously; I have all the receipts going back to about 1987!
With all those nice things said, the car is 47 years old and does need 3 things...
1. The carburetor probably needs to be rebuilt (while it does not affect how the car drives, it leaks some gas...not a good thing regardless of how nicely it drives.)
2. The plastic handle to "pop" the hood is broken. Not a big deal, grab the end of the cable with vise grips, pull and it still pops the hood. But to make the car perfect, it should be replaced. (An easy fix for sure.)
3. The A/C needs a charge. Again, not a big deal, but I want to be 100% honest about everything. The system was converted to R-134, so charging should be easy.
Other than that, the pictures speak for themselves. Please take a look and message me with any questions.
