I am selling a 1975 Mercedes 450SL that has a much more reliable and much more powerful Chevy 350 with an Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor. I was told this motor came out of a corvette. I can not guarantee that. I also was told it has the original SL transmission. I can not guarentee that. It has the original Mercedes floor shifter that shifts through the gears as it should. I bought this car to restore. I am moving South and do not have the time to finish it. The car runs and drives. It is much faster then a stock 450SL. It needs the floor pans to be replaced. I have taken out the seats, the etc to do the job. I have all parts that were removed. The exterior isnot in bad shape as you can see in the photos except for one of the rear panels has some old body putty cracking, the paint is very shiny & has some crackles, & the bumper is not bent but it is pushed in on the left side (needs to be pulled out). The interior needs restoration. It would be a great project car or a great parts car. The hardtop is in excellent condition and is worth about $1,200.00 by itself.
