1970 MERCEDES 280 SE, EURO MODEL, ALL ORIGINAL BARN FIND.

1970 280 SE. I believe this is a Euro model as it in Kilometers (this is long before they were introduced in Canada). The body is amazingly good with excellent chrome and all trim complete. The paint is all original with no touch ups although it has a bit of surface rust at the door bottoms.The interior is quite good with the original radio and trim. The door cards are excellent as is the original carpet. The seats have deteriorated with age as they are cloth. The engine will not start although it turns over freely.It even has the OEM exhaust in good shape.I think there is inadequate compression, so It will need attention or replacement. All in all this would be an easy project to have on the road. The brakes work but should be gone over. I would consider trading for a good series 3 Jaguar XJ6.
