1979 Mercedes 280SL r107 Euro Spec Red/Black Rare AMG Zender
This car was originally sold new in Europe and later imported to the USA. This is the Euro spec 6-cyl engine, not available in US spec SL cars. This 280SL still sports its European bumpers and kilometer cluster, reading 161,000. The European headlights were changed to US spec headlights. The lower front valence was later installed from a 560SL, updating the cars look. The rear lower bumper is authentic pre-merger AMG. The side skirts are authentic AMG as well. The lip on the trunk is made by Zender. It is also equipped with crank windows, something you wouldn't see on a US spec SL at the time. The car runs out strong and smooth with lots of power. Automatic transmission shifts well. Everything operates as intended. Tires are as new. It is not in perfect condition but it is a good survivor. The driver's seat has a small 1" tear. Has rear seat. Some of the upholstery on the boot is starting to come loose. The soft top needs replaced. Hard top is in good condition. The car has no rust. Overall the car presents very well. Comes with original books and tools.
