1961 Mercedes Benz 190B Ponton
Overall complete and original, an excellent project or parts car.
It runs but does not drive, the brakes stick and the carburetor needs to rebuilt. Forward gears appear to work however the shift linkage is shot and i can not find reverse. The interior is fairly complete but worn, the clock is missing. Most of the electrical seems to work properly. The body has an old respray in the original color, it has dents, dings, scratches, scuffs etc. While fairly solid on the top side, it has the usual rust associated with these cars. The rockers are completely shot as is the driver side floors. There is plenty of rust elsewhere too. The rear axle trailing arms are attached and the mounts look to be holding.
This car is a big project or an excellent parts car. It will require a thorough sorting before being road worthy. You can not drive this home, it would not make a good daily driver for someone with a limited budget. Anyone who knows these cars should know this already.
A deposit of $500 is required through paypal within 24 hours. All bidders with 0 or excessive negative feedback will be have bids cancelled unless you contact me.Buyer is responsible for pick up and shipping. I can help arrange/suggest regional transport.
