Car description |
---|
For sale is my 1973 450SL. Its a bit rough but the low price reflects it. Its a running and driving early SL which could be restored, used as a daily driver or as a parts car.
ebay doesn;t accept the pre-81 VINs. But its 10704412009028.
The Good
- CA Smog exempt
- Decent looking black paint
- Small Euro Style bumpers are in good condition
- Lots of good chrome trim
- Nice recovered seats
- Engine runs strong
- 16" wheels with good tires
- Nice set of US headlights
- Cheap!
The Not So Good
- It has a bit of surface rust on the trunk corners, hood, passenger A-pillar- Rusted floor in the passenger rear corner of the trunk.
- There is an exhaust leak on the passenger side
- Damaged center console
- Cracked Dash
- Later style 16" wheels rather than originals (yes, both a good and bad)
- High mileage
The early SLs are the ones to have if you are not going to get a 560. The R107s have started to accelerate in value. But I have a few too many so this one needs to go.On May-11-17 at 22:20:02 PDT, seller added the following information:
